About PK Communications and the Motor Sports Radio Network
The PK Communications Co. and its Motor Sports Radio (sm) network business unit was founded in 1978 as Sportcom Associates by Paul Kaminski. He has covered auto racing in the major national and international series and has reported spot news for radio stations and major radio networks around the world (ABC Radio News/Sports, NBC Radio Sports, Associated Press Radio, BBC World Service, CBC Radio Sports (domestic), North Carolina News Network, USA Radio Sports, among others).
Paul is a graduate of Ithaca Colllege (BS, TV Radio, 1989) and a graduate of the Defense Information School's Print Journalism Program (1971). He is retired from the US Army with 28 years of active and Reserve Service, and served as the last news director for the Armed Forces Desert Network in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.
Since 1997, Paul has been a contributor to NewBay Media's "Radio World" print and on line editions, and its NAB Daily News staff. He writes the Radio Road Warrior Column which focuses on tips, tricks and trends in radio news gathering.
Since 2000, Paul has been a frequent contributor to CBS News Radio on auto racing news and issues, and also reports spot news and features as events dictate.
